Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City

We were engaged to expand Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City by delivering an additional 29,000m² of retail space.

In April 2006, works commenced to deliver the $8.6m forward works package. Approximately 30,000m³ of topsoil was removed from the site, soil mix walls were constructed to allow excavation to proceed to a depth of 8m, and approximately 130,000m³ of spoil was removed. Stormwater drainage systems, additional road works, access ways and car parking bays for the existing shopping centre were also completed at this time.

The main works contract was awarded in November 2016 and we were engaged to deliver an expansion to the existing centre over a two year period. The redevelopment included a new major supermarket, a BigW store, 100 speciality tenancies and 2000 additional car parking bays in a new four-level car park.

The work was successfully delivered in stages, with stage one handed over in December 2007 and stage two
delivered 12 months later. On completion of the works, the centre’s gross lettable area was over 70,000m².
