The Karratha Central Healthcare serves as a hub for general medical practice in the region. It also offers educational programmes and clinical training in regional health practices.
The single story building comprises approximately 50 rooms including consult rooms, offices, meeting rooms and three reception areas.
The building features pre-cast concrete walls, incorporating profile patterns and perforations, designed to blend in with the Pilbara landscape.
An open carpark area, ambulance bay and external shaded walkways complete the works.
The project won several awards at the 2017 Master Builders - Bankwest Building Excellence Awards (Kimberley – Pilbara) including Best Commercial/ Industrial Building $6.5 million to $20 million; Innovative use of Building Materials; Excellence in Recycling; and Excellence in Energy Efficiency.
