The CSIRO Waterford facility houses the Australian Minerals Research Centre where researchers are developing improved processing techniques for Australia’s mineral and metal export industry.

The development, which we completed in late 2008, involved the extension of the existing Koch and Becher buildings.

A three-storey extension to the Koch building, including reconfiguration of the existing laboratory and administration areas, was undertaken to accommodate administration and laboratory personnel.

The Becher building was extended to house a new storage facility and the existing laboratory fit out was reconfigured.

A single storey administration wing was built along with a new 42 car bay carpark. A bridge linking the two buildings completed the works.
