Bold Park Aquatic Centre Redevelopment

The redevelopment of Bold Park Aquatic Centre involved replacing the existing 8 lane 50m pool, originally constructed in 1975, with a new 10 lane 50m pool. In addition to replacing the main pool, a new covered leisure / learn to swim pool, a new main building to house the crèche, a cafe/kiosk, change rooms, swim shop, pool administration facilities and extensions to the existing carpark were undertaken.

In summary the new facility comprises:

• A 10 lane, 50m outdoor heated main pool;

• A semi-enclosed learn to swim/leisure pool;

• New main building and over 250 car parking bays;

• BBQ and new playground facilities with new fencing to the perimeter; and

• Enhancement of the Whadjuk walking trail and improved landscaping.
