Kerry Hill Architects were awarded two George Temple Poole Awards at the Australian Institute of Architects’ 2016 WA Architecture Awards, for the City of Perth Library and public plaza and the State Buildings. 

The new Harrisdale Shopping Centre was officially opened on the 23rd June 2016 by John Schroder, Stockland Group Executive and CEO of Commercial Property; Cr Henry Zelones, OAM, JP, Member for Darling Range; Tony Simpson MLA and Vince Mulholland, Doric CEO.

The Quarter in Karratha was officially opened on June 2 by Regional Development Minister Terry Redman and was attended by members of the Doric Executive Leadership Team and The Quarter project team.

Mobilisation to Secret Harbour Shopping Centre was executed expediently following Charter Hall Retail REIT awarding Doric Contractors the contract to deliver the major redevelopment of the centre.

A soil turning ceremony involving Noongar elders digging with traditional Wanna Sticks, was held at Yagan Square on Sunday 14 February. Doric will commence works at Yagan Square immediately, having already partially mobilised to site.

The Yagan Square precinct will be one of five new links between Perth’s CBD and Northbridge for the first time in more than 100 years and will see the return of food markets, community and city life to the heart of the CBD.

On Friday 4 December, members of Doric’s Executive Team and the Ronald McDonald House Project Team joined CEO Peter King, Patron Adam Gilchrist, Campaign contributors and dignitaries to celebrate the official opening of the new Ronald McDonald House.

Doric Contractors achieved practical completion on Bold Park Aquatic Centre on Friday 27 November, with the stunning $12.25 million centre opening to the public for the first time last Saturday.
