Our History

DORIC was established in 1989 and has grown to become one of WA's largest privately owned construction companies.

 

We have a strong and proven track record and it's one we are very proud of. From arid outback mine sites to the busy streets of our cities, we have delivered a diverse array of projects for a broad range of clients including the State and Federal Governments and some of Australia's largest fund managers, developers and publicly-listed companies.

Company Structure

Our Board represents our shareholders' interests and, working with our Management Team, it approves business strategy, monitors performance against objectives and ensures that appropriate governance and risk management practices are in place to protect and grow our company.

Our Management Team consists of highly credentialed individuals who possess a wealth of experience in the local, national and international construction industry. Together, they are responsible for executing our strategic plans and for our day-to-day operations.

We have the in-house expertise required to manage projects from their conceptual stages through to design, procurement, construction, commissioning and completion.

Our project managers, site managers, design managers, engineers, supervisors, administrators, tenancy coordinators and labourers work tirelessly to deliver our projects to the high standard that we set for ourselves. Our ability to consistently achieve this standard is a testament to their commitment, experience and skill.

Our planners work with our project managers and construction managers to develop detailed work breakdown structures, schedules and programmes and investigate opportunities to deliver our projects with greater speed and efficiency. We take pride in our track record of delivering projects ahead of schedule, and our planners play a pivotal role in enabling our project teams to achieve these results.

COST ESTIMATING

COST ESTIMATING

Our estimators and quantity surveyors develop cost estimates based on our comprehensive database of current rates and input from our wide network of subcontractors. They also focus on identifying opportunities to reduce the cost of construction. By taking this approach, we add value to our projects and create a competitive advantage.

DESIGN MANAGEMENT

DESIGN MANAGEMENT

Our project managers, design managers and engineers rely on their design and construction knowledge to optimise designs. This process encapsulates technical design reviews, build-ability assessments, value engineering, safety-in-design reviews and risk assessment. Our design management team includes registered architects and engineers, who were themselves designers before joining DORIC. This experience enables them to collaborate with design consultants to identify opportunities to improve design outcomes.

MAINTENANCE

MAINTENANCE

We employ maintenance personnel who assist facility managers and owners to maintain the buildings, assets and facilities that we deliver. This enables us to provide a high standard of customer service after our projects are completed.
